How long should my Garmin Fenix 5 battery last? Not surprisingly, the Fenix 5S’s smaller size equates to shorter battery life. The Fenix 5S is supposed to last nine days on a charge in smartwatch mode, and up to 14 hours in GPS mode; the Fenix 5, on the other hand, will last two weeks in standard mode and 24 hours in GPS mode.

I’m using the backlight at 20% with a 4 second timeout, gps only, pulse ox on manual, music off, wifi off and software version 10.43. Restart Fenix If your Garmin Fenix is not fixed after several methods. You should look at its software issue. You can fix it by restarting your device. Because if your Fenix device has software glitches it can be the reason your watch is not charging. Restarting a device is also helpful if your device is slowing down or crashing apps.
I have a Fenix 5S Plus, newly bought in Nov/Dec 2020. Recently I have noticed that during sleeping the battery drops like 10%! I find it kinda lot, to be honest. Wi-Fi and bluetooth are turned off during night. (simple watch face). Any ideas?

RE: Fenix 5S Plus sudden increase in battery drain Update from my end about the Fenix 5S Plus from the initial post of this thread. Starting from the situation described in the beginning -- oldish watch, Garmin support not able to help further, battery drain too fast for the device to be of any use.
Garmin quietly lumbers towards a battery fix. It seems that Garmin didn’t really believe reports from myself and many other people concerning unexpected battery drain issues. This is STILL a relatively widespread issue that seemed to come to a head at the start of 2021 when I and others posted about it (see re-post below).
Interested in preserving much required watch battery percentage on 5S Plus Any stats available comparing OHRM versus Ant+ HRM Run? In addition, watch battery drain using Stryd Foot-pod connected via Ant+? Of course, I can perform various activity combinations and monitor usage, but maybe data is already available?
